How are the values of Flamethrowers determined?

The Market Value for each card is estimated by a team of sports card industry experts using various data points at the time of packing. However, this does not guarantee the price you can sell the cards for in the future as it depends on multiple factors including but not limited to the following: player performance, sports card market shifts, overall economic health, accuracy of listings, length of the auction, strength of auction house, supply of similar cards available, private dealer relationships, card shows attended, etc.

How are market fluctuations handled for Flamethrowers?

Sports Cards values of different sets, players, etc. can change rapidly. For example, if you purchase a Brock Purdy card on Saturday and on Sunday he throws 4 Interceptions - chances are you won’t be able to get the same amount you paid come Monday. Inversely, if he throws for 4 Touchdowns you might see a slight lift in value from what you paid - assuming you paid a fair price. Outside of player performance, there are numerous other factors including supply/demand levels, sellers needing instant liquidity, a collector dumping a collection, macroeconomic trends, and dozens of others. This makes it nearly impossible to predict a card's future value. The old saying goes “Yesterday's price isn’t today's price.” That is why Flamethrowers establishes the market value of the card at the time of packing and physically labels each box with the date it was packed.

Are breakers aware of what cards are in Flamethrowers?

No. Although Flamethrower is affiliated with BYB, to maintain the integrity of BYB’s product offerings, BYB is not involved in the buying, building, and curating of repack products or the valuation of any products sold by BYB.
